On April 12, 2011, a 59-year-old woman with a sensor implanted in her brain picked up her cinnamon latte with a robotic arm, brought it to her lips and took a sip through a straw, using only her thoughts.

It was the first movement Cathy Hutchinson had made in 15 years, after a severe brain stem stroke caused complete paralysis from her neck down.

No matter how long the slinky is, the bottom of the slinky will stay still (hover) until the top reaches it. Even if the slinky is over 1000 feet long.

Operation Northwoods

Operation Northwoods was a plan circulated in the U.S. government in 1962 to stage false flag terrorist attacks inside the U.S. and abroad to provoke “military intervention in Cuba”.  The plan called for Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other operatives to commit genuine acts of terrorism in U.S. cities and elsewhere.

These acts of terrorism were to be blamed on Cuba in order to create public support for a war against that nation, which had recently become communist under Fidel Castro.

One part of the Operation Northwoods plan was to “develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington.”  The document was signed by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lyman Lemnitzer and reportedly presented to Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara on March 13, 1962.

Dashi-Dorzho Itigilov is a Buddhist Lama considered to have reached Nirvana, due to the lifelike state of his corpse, which is not subject to macroscopic decay. He died in 1927 and upon the latest examination in 2002, scientists and pathologists stated his body is “in the condition of someone who had died 36 hours ago”.

Morning news team has a little too much fun with sulfur hexafluoride

On a morning news program, Steve Spangler introduces the news crew to the fun of sulfur hexafluoride. It’s heavier than air, you can float a little tinfoil boat on it, it’s non-conductive, but the best part is that when you breathe it in, it makes your voice really deep in a similar manner to how helium makes your voice really high pitched.
